About: Lemongrass is a tall, perennial grass and is widely used in Asian cuisine. It is used a variety of ways: fresh, dried, chopped, powdered and is well-known as the main ingredient in a popular Thai soup. As far as its herbal properties, lemongrass is a natural deodorant and insect repellent. When used in essential oil blends, lemongrass can quickly take over the blend so it should be used in small quantities if the scent of the other oils will be allowed to come through.
Safety Warnings: Avoid during pregnancy or a history of high blood pressure. Somewhat phototoxic. Avoid in cases of glaucoma.
